What Happens when you delete email from ‘98 till Present?

A spot check of my outlook’s pst file revealed that I was pushing 1 GIG in file size. I started to look at some of the older email folders and making the leap of faith, I deleted thousands of emails that brought my pst file down to 382 meg file. Simply amazing what I was hanging on to and funny how Outlook is that more responsive at start up too.
What also might seem odd here, who was actually using email back in ‘98? No really, think about it. I think, in fact I was using pine in the Unix world back before ‘98, but that just makes me sound and seem old.
