This last week, it has been crazy like a fox when it came to thinning out the Netflix que.

Astronaut John Crichton gets stuck in a strange and unfamiliar part of the universe after being diverted there by a wormhole. Soon, he finds himself wedged between a group of self-proclaimed pacifists named the Peacekeepers and prisoners seeking solace. After John ultimately takes the prisoners’ side, his newly formed group runs from the Peacekeepers while trying to find a method to transport John back to Earth. (If you like Sci-Fi Drama, this is for you, “Rent it!”)

After being killed in a case of mistaken identity, John Crichton and his pregnant lover Aeryn Sun are brought back to life by their comrades D’Argo, Chiana, Noranti, and Rygel. They believe that they are all free to live their lives in peace away from the war between the universe’s dominant races, the Peacekeepers and the Scarrans, but soon find out
that the wormhole knowledge that Crichton holds in his mind is the key to victory for either side, and are back on the run. Matters are made worse when Crichton and Aeryn’s unborn child is transfered from Aeryn’s body into Rygel’s in a freak turn of events and they have to find a way reverse things back to their correct state. Meanwhile, they’re forced to align themselves with their mortal enemies, Scorpius and Sikozu, in order to survive while trying to locate a race of people who have the power to spread peace before the war destroys all living things in the universe. (After they pulled the plug on the series, they were allowed to finally end the series and correctly too. “Rent it!”)

Based on the true story of Domino Harvey (Keira Knightley), daughter of film actor Laurence Harvey. Tired and unsuited to the pretentiousness of her high-society LA life, Domino leaves the glittarti behind and sets off to become a bounty hunter. She quickly falls under the wing of veteran hunter Ed Mosley (Mickey Rourke) and his crew and becomes an unlikely
natural in the art of bounty hunting. But things really heat up when a gang of masked men begin a series of armored car heists, and before long the mob, a crazed TV producer, the FBI and a terminally ill child have all got caught up in the crazy situation. (great action, keeps you thinking. “Rent it!”)

Dave Spritz is a local weatherman in his home town of Chicago, where his career is going well while his personal life — his relationship with his perfectionist writer father, his neurotic ex-wife, and his now-separated children — is spiraling downward. Despite being both loathed and loved by the local masses, Dave is a guy who doesn’t seem to have it all together, and in this film, he begins to feel it. An attractive job offer presents Dave with a major question: to pursue his career in New York City, or to remain at home with his family. (ummm, riiigghttt, can you say ‘dysfunctional’?, good extras “Pass on it“)

After causing the Oregon shoe company he works for to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, Drew Baylor is fired for his mistake, and promptly also dumped by his girlfriend, Ellen. On the verge of suicide, Drew is oddly given a new purpose in life when he is brought back to his family’s small Kentucky hometown of Elizabethtown following the death of his father, Mitch, as it falls to him to make sure that his dying wishes are fulfilled. On the way home, Drew meets a flight attendant, Claire Colburn with whom he falls in love, in a romance that helps his life get back on track…(chick flick! “Pass on it“)

Derrick Vann a hard-nosed fed and Andy Fidler a milquetoast salesman, make up an unlikely crime-fighting team in this hilarious comedy. Brought together by accident, the two must nevertheless work together to hunt down a dangerous man who may be responsible for the death of Vann’s longtime partner. But can straitlaced Fidler rise to the occasion? And will Vann conquer his own demons? (this was a fun flick, bad cop - good dentist, not at the level where I would want to watch it again, funny Gag Reel, “Rent it!”)

Elizabeth Masterson is a dedicated, workaholic doctor who is way to busy for a life. One night, she gets into a horrible car accident and becomes a spirit stuck between heaven and earth. She doesn’t know she’s dead and thinks nothing has happened until she meets David Abbot, a lonely architect, who rents her old apartment. David thinks he’s crazy by seeing Elizabeth’s spirit and tries all ways to get rid of her, but she just won’t go away. Although the two are complete opposites they somehow may just form a relationship. (this was another fun movie, I didn’t think I would like it, but the whole ‘out of body’ visitation from the spirit was a gas. good Gag Reel, “Rent it!”)
