Wordpress on Yahoo Hosting

I will be the 1st to say that I was all wet in the shorts and totally bought in the this Yahoo/Worpress thing since I have been using Wordpress for a little over a year now.
However; when I brouht my dBase over, things were a little rocky. I had some issues with dbase entries, but I was able to work that out, then came the over all ‘slowness‘ of the site.
It turns out that it was a setting in Wordpress that was causing this.
As the administrator do this:
Login >> Options >> Writing
Then in the Update Services , if you have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ in there, take it out. Update and then check it out. The site is quicker and I am now a little happy of a camper.
