Now, Steve Martin’s Shopgirl was a really good movie to take your date to. I had really high hopes that Steve would be able to pull off the Inspectors role better then Mr. Sellers , but it would seem that, this one got away like most of the suspects did.
It’s not quite on the high comedic plane of ‘Do you have a license for that moon-key?’ But AM-bourg-airs will do. Here’s all you need to know: Clouseau now surfs the Internet under the e-mail handle “Doctor Knockers,” and has to take Viagra before getting comfy in the sack. I admit that I laughed a couple of times. Martin is a funny guy, and even in a mess like this is bound to coax some giggles from the audience.
As Inspector Jacques Clouseau, Steve Martin, even in his best moments, is only one third as funny as Peter Sellers consistently was when playing the same character in the original “Pink Panther” films. That’s not intended to slight Martin. He’s wonderfully talented, and an extremely funny person. The point is that Sellers was Clouseau, and anyone else pales by comparison. That should come as no big surprise for fans of Sellers or devoted followers of the “Pink Panther” films, which were big hits in the sixties and seventies. Sellers, a brilliant comedic actor, made Clouseau one of the most memorable comedic characters in the history of film.
The team desperately attempts to stop two Wraith hive ships from reaching Earth. Sheppard must rely on an old foe to rescue McKay and Ronon.
The Ori invade the Jaffa planet Chulak, Vala and Daniel must deal with their leader which is Vala’s new born daughter whom is being rapidly aged by the Ori to serve their purposes.
