Los Angeles, CA – A fearless leader. A beautiful medic. A young genius. A talking chimp. These four futuristic scientists are on a mission to bring hope to a new world in the 1970s series “Ark II.” BCI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navarre Corporation, and UK media company and underlying rights owner, Entertainment Rights Plc (“ER”), bring this classic series to DVD on November 7th at a suggested retail price of $29.98.

The year is 2476, and the Earth has become a biological wasteland. Three young scientists–Jonah (Terry Lester), the leader; Ruth (Jean Marie Hon), the medic; and Samuel (Jose Flores), the young, technological genius–are joined by their sidekick, Adam the talking chimp, as they scour the globe in the Ark II. Their mission: to bring hope of a new future to mankind, while teaching those remaining earthlings valuable life lessons about ecology and social justice.

The series features guest appearances by such stars as Jonathan Harris (“Lost in Space’s” Dr. Smith); Robby the Robot (“Forbidden Planet”) and a young Helen Hunt.

“Ark II” premiered on CBS in 1976, and aired through 1979. The show reached syndication in the 1980s, confirming its status as a pop culture classic.
