Logitech released a special edition Battlefield 2142 mouse. Now while your not playing BF2142 you will still be able to get your fix with a quick glance at your mouse.

The G5 Laser Mouse is Logitech’s first corded laser pointer, and thanks to a Full Speed USB interface, this hyper gaming mouse is capable of 2000 dpi and 500 USB reports per second. It features a unique adjustable cartridge weighing system, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gaming feet, in-game sensitivity adjustment, tilt wheel plus zoom and bunch of programmable buttons.
Weight customization in the G5 is probably one of the most welcomed features available in the G5. It is possible to add up to 36 grams of weight (in increments of 1.7 or 4.5 grams) to the mouse. A weight cartridge holds up to eight weights and is placed into a slot on the underside of the mouse. Because the slot is spring loaded, you simply have to press a button above the slot to remove the weight cartridge. It most likely will take you a few tries before you find a weight that you like.

Pros: Laser precision; excellent grip; tilt wheel; weight tuning; on-the-fly sensitivity switching up to 2000DPI; DPI indicator; slick pads; application profiling.
Cons: Only one thumb button; hard to middle click; right-handed only.
Verdict: All things said and done, Logitech’s G5 is an instrument of victory. Between the slick pads, laser precision, excellent grip, tilt wheel, profile switching, and DPI indicator, there is no doubt in my mind that the G5 will deliver performance more so what I thinking about retiring my MX1000 mouse.
