The “Spider-Man 3″ trailer debuted on all the Viacom owned television stations and now it’s available on the Web!

The very first thing I did was to fire up the old Xbox 360 and got right into a campaign on the casual mode setting. This is the ‘baby’ setting as I want to enjoy the game and not pop a blood vessel in my brain pan. You start off as Marcus Fenix and along with your fighting buddy Dom is breaking you out of prison because you are needed to ‘help’ in the battle. This is basically where the game starts you out with an option of taking a tutotial route or you can just jump right into the action.

The biggest thing to learn from in this game (and if you have watched any of the coverage on this game, you would know) is to use cover!! OH yeah, sure you betcha, I have died a couple of times and every single time it was because I was standing straight up being the perfect target. A feature that I have always wanted in any type of game is the ability to cooperatively enjoy (or hate) a game and story line with a friend online. Gears of War seems to have hit this nail on the head. I joined a co-op campaign which was at the start of the 2nd level where I was playing Dom. Another awesome feature that is introduced in GOW is that while in co op; you and your friend at times may have to split up during certain story segments and while this happens, you and your gaming bud will have completely different sub-plots and gaming experiences. Oh, if you die in co op and you friend is still around, he can revive you. (now how cool is that?)

Overall I am really enjoying Gears of War and I can only compare this to when I got Halo and the original Xbox. The single player campaign alone is worth sending out for pizza, taking the phone off the hook and not going out in public until after Emergence Day. The graphics look awesome on my 61 inch sony HD TV and it is very impressive what they have done with the Unreal 3 engine.

Emergence Day is November 12th but most stores will have it for sale by now as Epic has some special plans for Xbox Live on the 12th so get yourself a copy of Gears as soon as possible.
