New HDTV Mounts Install Just 0.4 Inches from Wall

Written by andy on Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 in Hardware.

HDTV owners who want to save space on their home entertainment centers have a sleek new option for wall-mounting their HDTV, as Peerless Industries has unveiled a mount that’s just 0.4 inches thick.

Called the Slimline ultra-thin mount, this unit is being billed as the world’s thinnest mount, as it brings a screen closer to the wall than any similar product currently available. For a nice size comparison, check out this photo of the Slimline ultra-thin mount next to a dime:

Incredible NEW Hulk Pics!

Written by andy on Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 in Comic Books, General.

There are only a couple of new images of both the Incredible Hulk and the new A-Bomb.

We find scientist Bruce Banner, living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won’t leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross.

Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination — a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk’s own.

Grand Theft Auto IV – Worth the Hype?

Written by andy on Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 in Gaming.

Overall, Grand Theft Auto IV would appear to be one of the best games ever made, (based on those that were trying it out at the local play and trade and the line that was outside the store before it opened too.) with a single-player campaign that can take you around 25 hours to complete (depending on how you play it, of course). Improvements, particularly those made to combat and vehicle physics, make the game more accessible, more enjoyable and far more realistic than before.

Free Comic Book Day jitters

Written by andy on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 in Comic Books.

I think that for the most part, I can handle the stress and pressure, but three events back to back for a ma and pa shop?

That is correct, this Friday May 2nd, is the date that Wizards of the Coast is releasing their newest expansion to Magic the Gathering (aka Shadowmoor) and GamersCircle Comics is the only listed shop in the Sacramento area that will be taking part in the Mid-night Madness.

Secret Invasion #1 – Do you know your neighbor?

Written by andy on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 in Comic Books.

A lot happens in this book, things are happening real quick, so don’t blink! I think we are off to a good start, and there’s nothing that leads me to believe this event won’t live up to its hype and its premise.
