This is my first attempt to capture L4D from my Xbox 360.  I was missing a piece of hardware, so I was actually playing the game, but watching it through the capture software, so it was a little delayed for me.

Holidays are always slow for news..

I hit the power switch on the ol’ Xbox 360 and got into some gaming.  I think my total gamer score is around  8,855.  This is a slight boost of of 20 points over last time!  I played a little HORDE on Gears of War 2, finished up CoD: World at War in which I got a few achievements.

It is all in the cards, there is no perfect/magic deck that will get your a win every single time and it all depends on your opponent too.

Last night, since we were an odd man in FNM and no one really like playing with a ‘bye’.  My backup TO (aka Tournament Organizer) stepped up so that I could toss some cardboard.

I opt’d to go with a single aggro color and since Kithkin’ are running amok, I went another route.

2-0 was my first match was against some Dolmen Gate deck.  It would seem that this deck needed that card out in order to win.

2-0 to the next match, this deck was an odd little life linking deck, but using Lignify to shut down the critters did the trick.

2-1 vs a mono white Kithkin deck and the MVP on his side was Militias Pride and Austere Command.

1-2 vs a 5 Color Planes Walker deck, but the elves were feared as I seemed to always get 2 Door of Destinies.  This PW’s had many tools to help them out like Wrath of God, Cryptic Command, Bant Charm, and Naya Charm just to name a few.

Just me and my better half.  No huge turkey with all of the trimming and sauce.  We did the finger food (egg rolls, onion rings, cheese sticks, little baby quiche.) and watched the Dirty Jobs marathon on Discovery.

We also caught up on all of the Sanctuary (pretty good series) which was on our DVR too.  One of our Netflix was Fred Claus , which was ‘eh’.

Between the shows and eating, I played some Call of Duty: World at War

Again.. what the hell heck are you doing to us.

First of all I must say: Yes, I am still waiting for my AT&T Tilt rebate. When I purchased the phone about 6 months ago, I am expecting to get one of those $150 visa rebate cards.

You might find this happening again, as Florida based Continental Promotion Group (CPG) filled for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection on Nov 14th. Since Canon uses CPG for rebates, they alerted their dealers a few days ago of the possible rebate issues. Canon also issued a statement saying they will cover rebates.

CPG offers many different items like rebates, Pre-Paid and Gift Cards, Sales rewards and Sweepstakes. They work with companies like Canon, Home Depot, Bed, Bath and Beyond, WOOT!, Costco, Fujitsu, Logitech, Motorola, Pricegrabber, Samsung, Staples, Westinghouse and XM Satellite. Their list goes on from there, with other companies in 120 countries.

CPG will borrow from some of the companies to get the rebates sent out. You might be a little more weary, though if you are going out on Black Friday for the Doorbuster Days.

Not that I hope that something that horrible will happen.  However; Tone and JR and I will be attempting to survive the zombie horde on 11/22/2008 on our Xbox 360’s and playing Left 4 Dead.
